This is a page dedicated to the first man to cross the Atlantic Ocean by plane. Charles Lingbergh's famous flight was on May 20-21 1927 and went from Roosevelt Field, Long Island to Le Bourget Field in Paris. Influences: Charles Lingbergh developed an interest in motorized transportation. He wanted to know how the family car to his motorcycle worked which later led to him to enroll in a technical school. He then developed an interest in flying even though he had never even touched an air plain.
Profession: He bought his own plane and became a barnstormer. He then later joined the air force but continued his job as a barnstormer and flight instructor.
